This year’s summit will serve as a launchpad for the next generation of sustainability champions, inspiring collective youth-led action on climate resilience, circular economy, and green innovation.

More than just an event, YES 2026 will unfold as a nationwide journey, mobilizing schools, local leaders, and eco-innovators through workshops, campaigns, and interactive challenges in the months leading up to the summit.

Schools for Sustainability

Schools for Sustainability is a nationwide initiative that aims to promote the theme of Circular Economy,Sustainability & E waste, through awareness leading to action. 

We endeavor to connect eco-conscious schools with sustainability partners, e-waste experts, NGO’s, RWA’s and other key stakeholders, through the establishment of a Sustainability Action Network in each city. This network aims to be a long-term self sustaining ecosystem that continues to drive local environmental action well beyond the initial intervention.

The program also  educates & empowers students through awareness workshops, hands-on campaigns, and helps schools adopt sustainable, student-driven waste management practices—turning students into green leaders.

Schools for Sustainability

Youth Eco Summit 2025

"Future Green Leaders: Powering an E-Waste Revolution" January 2025

Following the resounding success of Youth Eco Summit 2024, where over 1,800+ students from 60+ schools gathered to discuss sustainability and climate action, this year’s summit took a monumental leap forward. YES 2025 was not just a one-day event but the grand culmination of a six-month-long national campaign that engaged schools, students, and communities across India in meaningful action against e-waste mismanagement.The theme for this year was Future Green Leaders:Powering an E waste revolution.

World Earth Day Activations

On World Earth Day, Bajaj Foundation mobilizes schools, youth, and communities through campaigns, clean-up drives, workshops, and creative expressions to raise awareness about climate action and sustainability. The day serves as a powerful reminder that protecting our planet starts with individual and collective action. Because every action counts—for Earth, for us all.

Special Campaign for E-Waste Awareness and Reduction initiative

by MOEFCC and the Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL) supported by UNICEF YuWaah in collaboration with Bajaj Foundation) February 2025- May 2025

Bajaj Foundation, in collaboration with UNICEF YuWaah, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, DoSEL, and Meri LiFE, conducted a nationwide e-waste awareness campaign to engage students, strengthen eco-clubs, and set up collection points for responsible disposal. Through multilingual virtual workshops and collection drives, the campaign reached 632 schools and 53,000+ students, collecting 4,950 kg of e-waste via certified recyclers. Tamil Nadu led in participation and collection, while Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh excelled in workshop delivery. The initiative showcased the power of youth-led environmental action, while also noting challenges like scheduling conflicts, varying educator engagement, and infrastructure gaps.

Art Installation Drive

Bajaj Foundation’s Art Installation Drive transforms electronic waste into impactful art that raises awareness about e-waste and sustainability. Co-created by students, artists, and communities, these installations highlight the importance of recycling, reuse, and responsible disposal. It's a creative call to action—turning discarded tech into symbols of change.

DAAN UTSAV - National GIVING FESTIVAL

at Okhla NSIC Metro Station 3 October- 8 October 2024

As part of Bajaj Foundation’s endeavour to take the E-waste awareness to public platforms, we conducted a six-day campaign in the bustling OKHLA NSIC metro station during the Daan Utsav Week to raise awareness about e-waste management and recycling. Inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi such as Seva (selfless service) and Sarvodaya (the welfare of all), the event focused on engaging metro commuters, corporate employees, and CRPF personnel to encourage responsible e-waste disposal and sustainable practices.

Yamuna flood food drive

Initiating a food drive for the Yamuna slum dwellers during the 2023 floods in Delhi represented a critical intervention in a time of acute need. This effort stands as a testament to the power of community and compassion in the face of disaster.

Legal Aid Camp

As part of our commitment to community empowerment and access to justice, we organized a Legal Aid Camp providing free legal consultation and support to underserved communities. The initiative aimed to spread legal awareness and ensure that every individual understands their rights and entitlements.

Beyond Tech

The Beyond Tech campaign engages school-going children to build awareness about e-waste and its environmental impact through interactive workshops, surveys, and a mix of on-ground and digital activities. The initiative aims to make students think beyond gadgets and understand the life cycle and consequences of electronic waste.

Tree Plantation Drive – Rooting for a Greener Future

Bajaj Foundation’s Tree Plantation Drive brings together students, communities, and volunteers to restore green cover and promote environmental responsibility. By planting native trees across schools and public spaces, the initiative nurtures biodiversity, combats climate change, and instills a culture of care for nature.

E-Waste Revolution: From Disposal to Sustainability Campaign- in collaboration with UNICEF YuWaah, Meri LiFE, MAIT and Jago Grahak Jago

1 August- 31 October 2024, Delhi NCR

The "E-Waste Revolution: From Disposal to Sustainability" campaign, led by the Bajaj Foundation in collaboration with UNICEF YuWaah, Meri LiFE under the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change’s Mission LiFE, MAIT and Jago Grahak Jago, successfully engaged schools across Delhi NCR. Through active participation from students, educators, and principals from 30 schools, the campaign not only raised e-waste awareness but also facilitated a structured collection drive. The initiative resulted in over 1,000 kg of e-waste being responsibly collected, highlighting the commitment of Delhi's educational community to environmental sustainability and showcasing the readiness of students and educators to take meaningful action toward a sustainable future.
